Miller Family Snapshot 2006-06-01
This will be very short indeed, and mostly about Owen, but I have intended to share the following with y'all for some time now. G'night and God bless!
-- Jenna's work at getting healthy and losing weight has paid off. She won our church's Body for Christ competition, and lost a total of 27 pounds! The top three winners combined (Jenna included) lost over a total of 75 pounds.
-- Amelia is rolling all over the place now - and loving it.
-- School is going well for me - I'm about done for the quarter (then I'll have a one-week break with the fam - woohoo!).
-- Owen is now officially in his "big boy bed". We made the transition after he was watched by a couple of friends of ours and slept without problem on their son's bed (thanks Sexton's!) This is big news for our household because he is the first of our children to make it to the bed stage. Last night (Wed night) was his first night in the bed, and he slept without incident! No getting out of bed, no falling out of bed... we probably could have done this sooner. =)
-- One other Owen note - he has picked up a few new words. Two examples: he says fire truck ("dire druck"), and balloon (no longer "bee", now its "ah-boon"). His current favorite word? It would have to be a tie between "Ma-Ma" (he never really said that before we got the tubes in his ears), and park ("pawk"). He looooooooooooooooves the park. Anytime he sees swingsets or anything of that nature in other people's backyards, he thinks it is a park. Too cute.
