What's Black and White and Red All Over?

Okay - it's a stupid joke, I know - but the title of this post alludes to one word: Sox. I'm referring to the White Sox, who won the World Series Wednesday night (and were tainted by the 1919 "Black Sox" scandal), and the Red Sox, who won it all last year. Although my Mariners have seen a winning famine over the last couple of years, the teams that I wanted to win the World Series last year and this year did just that.

As thrilled as I was that the White Sox won it all this year (yay for Freddie Garcia and Joey Cora in particular), I was super-thrilled when the Red Sox won it last year. Apparently so thrilled (or nerdy, your choice), that I had Jenna take a picture of Owen and I at the exact moment the Red Sox won it all.

Sad, I know. In fact, feel free to leave Jenna words of consolation and comfort as she continues to deal with the fact that her hubby is a big ol' nerd on the inside (and far from ashamed). But, I must add, check out Owen's wide, wide smile - he's loving it!!
